All eyes were on the sky Sunday evening as the moon glowed in a coppery red colour above much of the world — a phenomenon known as the Super Blood Wolf Moon Total Lunar Eclipse.
People across North America, South America, and western Europe saw the moon change colour as it passed directly through Earth’s shadow.
The next time a total lunar eclipse will be visible anywhere in the world will not be until May 26, 2021. However, there will be five partial lunar eclipses before then.
From Texas to Toronto, and Finland to Chile, here are a few incredible photos from the eclipse captured around the world.
