Most of us know the temptation of impulse buying candy at checkout simply because it’s visible, but what if it wasn’t?
An Ontario MPP’s new junk food bill aims to ban unhealthy snacks from being displayed at checkout areas to help keep the province healthier.
“Marketers know that strategically placing high fat, sugar and sodium foods in those line ups pay off. It’s time to stop tempting Ontario’s consumers to eat more junk food,” Gélinas said in a statement.
